Head Spa Shampoo Machine Plastic Spray Arm Mould and Moulding Services
Head Spa Shampoo Machine Plastic Spray Arm Mould and Moulding Services | Renovator Appliances Ltd.
Product Overview
Head Spa Shampoo Machine Plastic Spray Arm is a precision-moulded plastic support and fluid-delivery component used to position and support the spray nozzle assembly in a professional head spa shampoo machine. It helps maintain the required spray location and direction over the treatment or washing area while providing a structured connection between the nozzle and the machine's basin or internal water-flow system.
Renovator Appliances Ltd. provides customized Head Spa Shampoo Machine Plastic Spray Arm Mould and Moulding Services for head spa machine manufacturers, salon equipment brands, OEMs and professional beauty equipment manufacturers. The spray arm can be developed according to the required arm length, bend or curvature, nozzle position, water pipe routing, mounting location and overall machine geometry.
Depending on the machine design, the plastic spray arm can incorporate an internal water passage, nozzle mounting section, pipe connection, clips, retaining features, mounting bosses, locating features and reinforced sections. These features can be customized to maintain proper alignment and reliable assembly.
The spray arm may be exposed to water, shampoo residue and cleaning agents during operation. Therefore, material selection can be planned according to moisture resistance, chemical compatibility, mechanical strength and dimensional stability requirements. Injection moulding enables repeatable geometry and consistent production quality for commercial quantities.

Manufacturing Process
1. Product Design & Development
The manufacturing process starts with the development of the spray arm according to the customer's 2D drawing, 3D CAD model, physical sample or complete machine assembly.
The required arm length, diameter, curvature, nozzle position, mounting location and water-flow arrangement are evaluated. Where the arm also carries water internally, the inlet, internal passage and outlet connection are designed according to the required fluid system.
Mounting bosses, clips, locating features, retaining sections and reinforcement ribs are incorporated according to the assembly requirements. Wall thickness, draft angles and corner radii are optimized to support reliable injection moulding.
2. Plastic Mould Design
A dedicated injection mould is designed according to the spray arm's geometry. Cavity and core construction, parting line, gate location, runner system, cooling channels, venting and ejection arrangement are determined according to the component.
For spray arms containing internal passages, suitable core or insert arrangements are developed to reproduce the required fluid channel. Nozzle mounting areas and pipe interfaces are also carefully considered during mould design.
The mould is designed to maintain consistent arm geometry and minimize deformation during ejection and cooling.
3. Mould Manufacturing
The mould is manufactured using suitable mould steel such as P20 Steel, H13 Steel or S136 Steel, depending on production volume, expected mould life, dimensional requirements and surface-finish expectations.
CNC machining, EDM, drilling, grinding, polishing and other precision mould-making processes are carried out according to the approved design.
Critical areas such as internal passages, nozzle mounting points, pipe connections and locating features are inspected for dimensional accuracy.
4. Injection Moulding
The selected plastic material is processed in an injection moulding machine under controlled production conditions. The material is heated to the required processing temperature and injected into the mould cavity.
Injection pressure, melt temperature, holding pressure, cooling time and cycle time are controlled to achieve consistent filling and dimensional stability.
Special attention is given to long, curved or hollow sections to minimize warpage, incomplete filling, sink marks and dimensional variation.
5. Finishing & Assembly Preparation
After moulding, the spray arm is removed from the mould and inspected for moulding defects. Gate marks, flash and excess material are removed where required.
The arm is checked for short shots, sink marks, cracks, warpage, scratches, weld lines and deformation. Nozzle mounting areas, pipe connections, clips, mounting bosses and locating features are inspected for proper formation.
Where an internal water passage is incorporated, the passage is checked for unwanted blockage or moulding obstruction.
6. Quality Inspection
Finished spray arms undergo dimensional, visual and assembly inspection. Critical dimensions such as arm length, diameter, curvature, nozzle position, mounting dimensions and connection interfaces are checked against approved drawings or CAD specifications.
Where applicable, sample assembly can be performed with the spray nozzle, water pipe, basin and machine body to verify correct positioning and alignment. If the spray arm contains an internal fluid passage, sample fluid-flow testing can also be carried out according to the required application.
Raw Materials
| Plastic Material | Typical Application |
|---|---|
| PP | Lightweight spray arms requiring good moisture and chemical resistance |
| ABS | Rigid spray arms requiring good appearance and dimensional stability |
| HDPE | Water-exposed applications requiring good chemical resistance |
| POM | Precision components requiring dimensional stability and low friction |
| PC+ABS | Applications requiring improved impact strength and dimensional performance |
| PC | Higher-impact applications requiring good dimensional stability |
| PBT | Applications requiring dimensional and thermal stability |
| Nylon / PA | Structural spray arms requiring higher mechanical strength |
| Glass-Filled Nylon | Reinforced spray arms requiring increased stiffness |
| Suitable Flame-Retardant Plastic | Applications requiring specified flame-resistance properties |
The final material should be selected according to water or treatment-liquid exposure, cleaning chemicals, mechanical loading, operating temperature and dimensional requirements.
