| Commercial Flour Mills | Internal electrical wiring coverage |
| OEM Flour Mill Manufacturing | Customized wire cover production |
Manufacturing Process
1. Product Design & Development
The wire cover is developed according to the flour mill's wiring layout, cable diameter, connector locations, mounting arrangement, and available internal space. Cable routing, bend radius, component clearances, wall thickness, retaining features, and assembly access are considered during product development.
2. Plastic Mould Design
The injection mould is designed according to the wire-cover geometry. The cavity, core, parting line, gate location, runner system, cooling channels, venting, and ejection arrangement are planned to accurately form cable channels, clips, ribs, mounting bosses, and retaining features.
3. Mould Manufacturing
The mould can be manufactured using suitable tool steel such as P20 Steel, H13 Steel, or S136 Steel, depending on production volume, required mould life, dimensional requirements, and surface finish. CNC machining, EDM, grinding, polishing, fitting, and mould assembly are carried out as required.
4. Injection Moulding
The selected thermoplastic material is heated and injected into the mould cavity under controlled processing conditions. Injection pressure, melt temperature, holding pressure, cooling time, and cycle time are adjusted according to the selected material and wire-cover geometry.
5. Finishing & Assembly Preparation
After moulding, gates and excess plastic are removed where applicable. The wire cover is checked for sharp edges, cable-contact surfaces, mounting features, retaining clips, and proper integration with the intended wiring arrangement.
6. Quality Inspection
Finished wire covers are inspected for dimensional accuracy, cable-routing geometry, mounting features, surface quality, warpage, flash, and proper fitment with the specified flour mill wiring and housing assembly.
Raw Materials
| Material | Typical Application |
|---|---|
| PP | Lightweight wire covers requiring suitable flexibility |
| ABS | Rigid wire covers with good surface appearance |
| HIPS | Economical internal protective cover applications |
| PC+ABS | Applications requiring a balance of impact strength and dimensional stability |
| PBT | Applications requiring dimensional and thermal stability |
| Nylon/PA | Applications requiring higher mechanical strength |
| POM/Acetal | Selected applications requiring dimensional stability and low-friction interfaces |
| Glass-Filled Nylon | Structural wire-cover applications requiring enhanced stiffness |
| Flame-Retardant Plastic | Applications requiring enhanced fire-performance characteristics, subject to specification |
The final plastic grade should be selected according to the wire cover's proximity to electrical components, operating temperature, vibration, mechanical requirements, cable-contact conditions, and overall appliance design. Where electrical insulation or flame-performance characteristics are required, the selected material should be validated against the applicable product specifications.
Quality Control
Raw Material Inspection: Plastic grade, colour, and incoming material condition are checked before production.
Mould Inspection: Cavity, core, parting surfaces, cooling system, venting, and ejection arrangement are inspected.
Dimensional Inspection: Overall dimensions, cable channels, wall thickness, mounting points, clips, and critical interfaces are checked.
Visual Inspection: Components are checked for flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, burn marks, scratches, sharp edges, and other moulding defects.
Wire Fitment Inspection: Cable passages, clips, retaining features, and routing areas are checked against the specified wiring arrangement.
Assembly Inspection: The wire cover is checked for proper mounting and suitable clearance from surrounding components.
Packaging Inspection: Finished covers are packed appropriately to minimize scratches, deformation, dust, and handling damage.
Buyer Guide
When sourcing an Electric Flour Mill Plastic Wire Cover Mould and Moulding Service, buyers should provide the cable and wire dimensions, number of wires, wiring layout, connector locations, mounting arrangement, surrounding component dimensions, required clearances, 2D engineering drawing or 3D CAD model, preferred plastic grade, colour, surface finish, and expected production quantity.
For new product development, special attention should be given to cable diameter, routing path, bend radius, retention method, mounting strength, clearance from the motor and other heat-generating components, electrical environment, operating temperature, and accessibility for assembly or servicing.
