Air Curtain Plastic Control Panel Housing Mould and Moulding Service
Air Curtain Plastic Control Panel Housing Mould and Moulding Service | Renovator Appliances Ltd
Product Overview
Renovator Appliances Ltd. provides precision Air Curtain Plastic Control Panel Housing Mould and Moulding Service for manufacturing accurately moulded plastic housings used to accommodate and protect control components in air curtain systems and HVAC equipment. The control panel housing forms a structural enclosure around switches, buttons, knobs, indicator lights, displays, wiring, and associated control components.
The housing can be customized according to the air curtain model, control-panel layout, internal component dimensions, mounting arrangement, cable routing, enclosure clearances, and overall product design. Features such as mounting bosses, screw posts, snap-fit clips, locating pins, reinforcing ribs, cable openings, ventilation provisions, and component supports can be incorporated according to the required application.
Our injection moulding solutions support the production of durable and dimensionally consistent control panel housings for OEM, ODM, replacement-part, and bulk manufacturing requirements. The mould can be engineered according to the housing geometry, selected plastic material, wall thickness, surface finish, production quantity, and assembly method.

Manufacturing Process
Product Design & Development
The control panel housing is developed according to the control component arrangement, enclosure dimensions, mounting points, wiring routes, PCB or switch locations, and available installation space. Internal supports, bosses, ribs, clips, locating features, cable passages, and other functional details can be incorporated according to the application.
Plastic Mould Design
A precision injection mould is designed around the approved housing geometry and selected material. Wall thickness, draft angles, parting line, gate location, cooling channels, ejection arrangement, cavity configuration, and structural features are evaluated to support stable moulding.
Mould Manufacturing
The mould can be manufactured using suitable tooling materials such as P20, H13, or S136 steel according to production volume, component complexity, durability requirements, and surface finish. CNC machining, EDM, drilling, grinding, polishing, and mould fitting processes may be used.
Injection Moulding
The selected plastic material is heated and injected into the mould cavity under controlled processing conditions. After cooling and solidification, the control panel housing is ejected from the mould.
Finishing & Assembly
Moulded housings are inspected for flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, weld lines, scratches, and other surface defects. Trimming, cleaning, printing, labelling, or assembly operations can be performed where required.
Quality Inspection
Finished housings are inspected for overall dimensions, wall thickness, mounting features, internal clearances, control-component fitment, cable openings, surface quality, and assembly compatibility.
Raw Materials
| Material | Suitable Characteristics |
|---|---|
| ABS | Good rigidity, dimensional stability, and surface finish |
| PP | Lightweight and suitable for selected housing designs |
| HIPS | Suitable impact resistance for appliance housings |
| PC+ABS | Good strength and dimensional stability |
| PC | High strength and dimensional stability |
| PBT | Good dimensional stability for selected electrical applications |
| Nylon | High mechanical strength for demanding structural features |
| Glass-Filled Nylon | Increased stiffness for structurally demanding housings |
| Flame-Retardant Plastic | Can be selected where specific fire-performance requirements apply |
Material selection should consider housing size, structural loads, mounting requirements, temperature exposure, dimensional stability, impact resistance, surface appearance, and the intended operating environment.
Quality Control
Raw Material Inspection
Plastic resin is checked according to the specified material grade and applicable production requirements before injection moulding.
Mould Inspection
The mould is inspected for cavity dimensions, alignment, parting surfaces, cooling arrangement, ejector operation, and critical housing features.
Dimensional Inspection
Important dimensions such as housing length, width, height, wall thickness, mounting-hole positions, boss dimensions, internal clearances, and component openings are checked against approved specifications.
Visual Inspection
Components are inspected for flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, weld lines, flow marks, burn marks, scratches, surface imperfections, and colour variation.
Fitment & Functional Inspection
Switches, buttons, knobs, indicator lights, PCBs, wiring, and other associated control components can be checked for proper fitment and alignment within the housing. Mounting and enclosure compatibility can also be evaluated.
Packaging Inspection
Finished control panel housings are packed appropriately to minimize scratches, deformation, dust contamination, and damage during transportation.
Buyer Guide
1. Provide Control Component Details
Share dimensions and locations of switches, buttons, knobs, indicator lights, PCBs, wiring, connectors, and other components installed within the housing.
2. Define Housing and Mounting Requirements
Provide overall housing dimensions, mounting points, screw locations, snap-fit requirements, internal clearances, and enclosure interfaces.
3. Provide Drawings or Samples
2D drawings, 3D CAD files, physical samples, photographs, and existing housing references can be provided for accurate product and mould development.
4. Select the Appropriate Plastic
Material selection should consider structural strength, impact resistance, dimensional stability, temperature exposure, surface finish, and application requirements.
