Air Circulator Plastic Rear Grille Mould and Moulding Service
Air Circulator Plastic Rear Grille Mould and Moulding Service | Renovator Appliances Ltd
Product Overview
Renovator Appliances Ltd manufactures Air Circulator Plastic Rear Grille and provides precision Plastic Injection Moulding and mould manufacturing solutions for air circulator fans. The rear grille is designed to protect the rear side of the rotating fan assembly while maintaining sufficient airflow through its engineered openings. The mould is developed according to the fan diameter, motor housing interface, grille profile, mounting arrangement, and required airflow area.
Our manufacturing process supports OEM and ODM requirements for rear grilles with accurately positioned ribs, mounting points, central motor clearance, and consistent dimensional stability. The component can be developed with suitable plastic materials based on mechanical strength, impact resistance, temperature exposure, surface finish, and application requirements.

Industrial Applications
| Application Area | Component Function |
|---|---|
| Air Circulators | Rear protection and airflow management around the fan assembly |
| High-Speed Air Circulators | Provides a rigid rear guard structure during continuous operation |
| Table Air Circulators | Supports compact rear fan protection and housing integration |
| Floor Air Circulators | Provides rear-side protection with suitable mounting strength |
| Commercial Air Circulators | Supports durable enclosure and ventilation requirements |
| OEM Fan Assemblies | Custom rear grille production according to specified designs |
Manufacturing Process
1. Product Design & Development
The rear grille design is developed according to the air circulator's fan diameter, motor housing dimensions, rear assembly profile, mounting locations, and required ventilation area. Rib geometry, opening dimensions, central clearance, wall thickness, and fastening features are evaluated to achieve a stable moulded component.
2. Plastic Mould Design
The injection mould is designed with suitable cavity geometry for the grille's circular profile and ventilation ribs. Gate location, runner layout, cooling channels, ejection arrangement, draft angles, and parting line are optimized to support uniform filling and easy component release. Particular attention is given to thin ribs and closely spaced openings to minimize short shots and moulding defects.
3. Mould Manufacturing
The rear grille mould is manufactured using precision machining and mould-making processes. P20, H13, S136, or another suitable mould steel can be selected according to production volume, surface-finish requirements, and component specifications. Critical cavity and core areas are inspected for dimensional accuracy before mould trials.
4. Injection Moulding
Suitable engineering or appliance-grade plastic is injection moulded under controlled processing conditions. Injection speed, pressure, temperature, cooling time, and holding pressure are adjusted according to the selected resin and grille geometry to achieve consistent filling of the ribs and ventilation openings.
5. Finishing & Assembly Preparation
After moulding, runners, gates, flash, and other excess material are removed. The rear grille is checked for clean openings, smooth edges, correct mounting features, and proper fit with the motor housing or rear enclosure. Surface finishing or secondary operations can be provided according to OEM requirements.
6. Quality Inspection
Each production batch is inspected for outer diameter, grille opening dimensions, rib thickness, mounting-hole position, central clearance, concentricity, warpage, flash, surface defects, and assembly fitment. Functional checks can also be performed to verify that the grille does not interfere with the fan or restrict the required airflow.
Raw Materials
| Material / Component | Typical Selection Consideration |
|---|---|
| PP | Suitable for lightweight housings and general appliance applications |
| ABS | Selected when improved rigidity, appearance, and impact resistance are required |
| HIPS | Suitable for rigid appliance enclosure applications |
| PC+ABS | Considered where higher impact and temperature performance are required |
| Flame-Retardant Plastic | Used when the appliance design requires enhanced fire-resistance characteristics |
| P20 Steel | Suitable for general-purpose production moulds |
| H13 Steel | Suitable for demanding production conditions and improved mould durability |
| S136 Steel | Selected where corrosion resistance and high-quality cavity finish are required |
Quality Control
Renovator Appliances Ltd follows dimensional and process controls throughout rear grille moulding production. Critical inspection areas include:
Overall grille diameter and circularity
Rib thickness and spacing
Ventilation opening dimensions
Central motor clearance
Mounting-hole and locating-feature positions
Concentricity with the fan assembly
Wall-thickness consistency
Warpage and deformation
Flash around grille openings
Surface finish and visible moulding defects
Fitment with the rear housing and motor assembly
Fan-blade clearance after complete assembly
Buyer Guide
When sourcing an Air Circulator Plastic Rear Grille, buyers should provide the fan diameter, motor housing dimensions, grille drawing or sample, ventilation-opening requirements, mounting arrangement, plastic material preference, surface-finish requirements, and expected production quantity.
For high-speed or continuously operated air circulators, the grille should be evaluated for rib strength, dimensional stability, vibration resistance, and adequate clearance from rotating components. The mould design should also account for uniform cooling and balanced filling to minimize circularity and warpage issues.
