Manufacturing Process

1. Product Design & Development

The X-Ray Machine Plastic Fan Cover is developed according to the customer's CAD drawing, 3D model, physical sample, fan dimensions, equipment housing, or cooling-system requirements. The design is reviewed for fan diameter, blade clearance, cover depth, airflow direction, ventilation area, mounting arrangement, and clearance from electrical and mechanical components.

Rotating fan clearance is considered carefully to help prevent contact between the fan blades and the moulded cover during operation.

2. Plastic Mould Design

The injection mould is designed around the complete fan-cover geometry, including the fan opening, ventilation slots, protective ribs, mounting bosses, screw holes, locating features, clips, and retaining sections.

Parting lines, gate locations, draft angles, cooling channels, ejector arrangements, and shrinkage allowances are optimized for dimensional consistency. Grille or ribbed sections require careful mould-flow and cooling considerations to reduce short shots, weld-line concerns, sink marks, and warpage.

3. Mould Manufacturing

Mould components are manufactured using suitable mould steels such as P20 Steel, H13 Steel, or S136 Steel, depending on production quantity, selected plastic material, required mould life, surface-finish requirements, and component complexity.

CNC machining, EDM, grinding, polishing, precision fitting, and mould assembly are used to achieve accurate cavity and core geometry.

4. Injection Moulding

The selected plastic material is processed using controlled injection moulding parameters. Injection temperature, filling speed, pressure, holding pressure, cooling time, and cycle time are adjusted according to the selected plastic grade and fan-cover geometry.

Controlled processing helps maintain fan-opening dimensions, blade clearance, ventilation area, mounting accuracy, surface quality, and consistent housing fitment.

5. Finishing & Assembly Preparation

After moulding, fan covers are inspected for flash, blocked ventilation openings, sharp edges, sink marks, short shots, warpage, and other surface defects. Gate marks and unwanted edges are removed where required.

The component can then be prepared for installation using screws, clips, snap-fits, or other specified mounting methods.

6. Quality Inspection

Finished X-Ray Machine Plastic Fan Cover components are checked for overall dimensions, fan-opening geometry, ventilation openings, mounting features, wall thickness, surface finish, and equipment fitment.

Where required, trial assembly is performed with the fan and surrounding housing to verify blade clearance, mounting accuracy, airflow openings, and interference-free operation.

Raw Materials

MaterialSuitability for X-Ray Machine Plastic Fan Cover
ABSSuitable for rigid fan covers requiring good appearance and dimensional stability
PC+ABSSuitable where improved impact resistance and dimensional performance are required
PCSuitable where higher impact and heat resistance are required

Buyer Guide

When ordering an X-Ray Machine Plastic Fan Cover Mould and Moulding Service, buyers should provide a CAD drawing, 3D model, physical sample, fan specifications, equipment housing details, or cooling-system requirements. Important requirements include:

  • Fan diameter and overall dimensions

  • Fan blade profile and clearance requirement

  • Required cover depth

  • Ventilation opening dimensions

  • Airflow direction and requirement

  • Mounting arrangement

  • Screw, clip, or snap-fit requirements

  • Internal component clearance

  • Housing interface dimensions

  • Required wall thickness

  • Operating temperature

  • Vibration exposure

  • Flame-performance requirements where applicable

  • Plastic material and grade

  • Colour and surface texture

  • Surface-finish requirements

  • Expected production quantity

  • Required mould life
